Utah Guides and Outfitters Association
Code of Ethics

As a member of the Utah Guides and Outfitters Association, I will:

  1. Abide by all laws & regulations (Federal, State and Local) concerning Utah licensed Guides and Outfitters.
  2. Abide by all laws and regulations (Federal, State and Local) concerning Utah’s Wildlife and Natural Resources.
  3. Require that all employees and clients obey all federal, state, and local laws concerning Utah’s wildlife and natural resources.
  4. Not engage in practices or services that are damaging or disrespectful to the State of Utah and/or the Utah Guides and Outfitters Association.
  5. Conduct your guiding and outfitting operations in a manner that does not discredit yourself, other licensed guides and outfitters, the Utah Guides and Outfitters Association, and/or the State of Utah.
  6. Maintain serviceable and safe equipment within your operations and maintain the highest safety standards allowable in conducting your guiding and outfitting activities.
  7. Represent all services completely, honestly and fairly.
  8. Respect other licensed guides and outfitters and the public’s right to utilize and enjoy Utah’s public lands, wildlife and natural resources.
  9. Respect other outfitter and guide member’s rights within the Utah Guides and Outfitters Association and shall not directly or indirectly cause injury to their reputation or business.
