Code of Ethics
As a member of the Utah Guides and Outfitters Association, I will:
- Abide by all laws & regulations (Federal, State and Local) concerning Utah licensed Guides and Outfitters.
- Abide by all laws and regulations (Federal, State and Local) concerning Utah’s Wildlife and Natural Resources.
- Require that all employees and clients obey all federal, state, and local laws concerning Utah’s wildlife and natural resources.
- Not engage in practices or services that are damaging or disrespectful to the State of Utah and/or the Utah Guides and Outfitters Association.
- Conduct your guiding and outfitting operations in a manner that does not discredit yourself, other licensed guides and outfitters, the Utah Guides and Outfitters Association, and/or the State of Utah.
- Maintain serviceable and safe equipment within your operations and maintain the highest safety standards allowable in conducting your guiding and outfitting activities.
- Represent all services completely, honestly and fairly.
- Respect other licensed guides and outfitters and the public’s right to utilize and enjoy Utah’s public lands, wildlife and natural resources.
- Respect other outfitter and guide member’s rights within the Utah Guides and Outfitters Association and shall not directly or indirectly cause injury to their reputation or business.
